ABOUT SRIKRISHNA UDIPI

Srikrishna Rajaram Udipi, son of Udipi Rajaram Rao, is an eminent artist, a graduate from, The Sir. J. J. Institute of Applied Art. Having had a successful career spanning 20 years, in various Advertising agencies, it was destiny that brought him back to the institute, to take over its reins, just as his dear father was about to retire.

With his broad experience in advertising, he was able to bring a new dimension to teaching art. He took keen interest in all the activities of the class and carried on the legacy of inspiring young and old students.

It was Rajaram Rao, whose little sapling blossomed into a huge tree and his son Srikrishna R. Udipi, nurtured and watered it, as it spread its branches out, beckoning more and more art lovers to bask in its glory.

Over the years, with the grace of the God, the strength of the institute multiplied rapidly and with loving support of his wife Vrinda, in 1979, he opened another branch at Ghatkopar- West. Here again, the response was tremendous, since such a thing was unheard of.

Under the able guidance of Srikrishna Udipi, thousands of students have been trained and groomed as Artists. Having worked tirelessly with true dedication & devotion, he retired by 1998, leaving happy memories of his loving, cheerful and motivating self, in every heart and to all whose lives he touched.
